MotoGP report - Although the Cardion AB Motoracing Czech rider Karel Abraham crashed and injured himself in qualifying, he finished fifteenth and will start from the fifth row on the grid.
Karel Abraham made good progress during the morning free practice and wanted to built on this result, unfortunately, at the beginning of qualifying he made a small mistake and crashed while following right behind the reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo.
Abraham bruised his left hand and dislocated his thumb, but remounted on his spare Ducati, completed 18 laps and set a best time of 1'45,661.
Abraham went for a check in the Medical centre where he received pain killing injections.
Karel Abraham "I don’t know exactly what happened. I chose a different line in which probably was some inequality. It is a very painful injury, especially during the braking, it’s gonna be a tough race tomorrow.“
