Formula 1 to finally use HD on-board cameras says Sylt - Formula 1 may finally feature high definition on-board cameras in the near future, according to Formula One business journalist Christian Sylt.

A few days ago, Sylt, having seen a copy of the Formula 1 floatation prospectus, revealed that Bernie Ecclestone is considering a GP2 and GP3 Series for the American market.

"It (the prospectus) also says that some of the TV innovations which are being developed include an HD on-board camera, a multi-channel format with different views of the track and an interactive 3D replay function," Sylt told us.

He said HD on-board cameras for Formula 1 is "interesting and long overdue" news.
