F1 : Adrian Sutil continues Formula 1 drive negotiations despite GBH conviction E-mail

Sutil still 'negotiating' with Force India - Adrian Sutil's manager has admitted the German driver is hoping Force India makes a "quick decision" over its 2012 Formula One driver line-up.

A source at the Silverstone based team hinted late last week that, with a decision now imminent, former team driver Sutil is in pole position to restore the 2011 line-up by pairing with Paul di Resta next season.

"We are negotiating with Force India," 29 year old Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann told SID news agency, "and hope for a quick decision."

Sutil was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm and given an 18 month suspended sentence for attacking Renault F1 executive Eric Lux, who suffered cuts to the side of the neck during an incident in a Shanghai nightclub in April 2011.

A court in Munich reached the verdict after a two day trial and the German driver was also ordered to pay a 200,000 Euro fine. Sutil apologised over the incident.
