Last April, Will Power earned the PEAK Performance Pole Award for the inaugural IZOD IndyCar Series race at Barber Motorsports Park and Power will start in the same position for the April 10 Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy.

 AIpiranga/Dreyer & Reinbold Racing announced today that Brazilian, Ana Beatriz, will not participate in this weekend's Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama due to an injury sustained at the IZOD IndyCar Series opener in St. Petersburg, Florida two weeks ago, filling in for her for Sunday's event will be Frenchman Simon Pagenaud.

  Newman/Haas Racing (NHR) have announced that 24 year old Canadian James Hinchcliffe will drive for the team in the North American events of the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season including his debut in the 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500 and events in his hometown of Toronto as well as Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
