DTM qualifying report - In summer like temperatures, the spectators were treated to an entertaining qualifying at the Hockenheimring Baden-Wurttemberg with Mercedes-Benz driver Bruno Spengler celebrating the first pole position of the year after the 27 year old Canadian completed the lap of the 4.574 kilometre long track in 1'34.270.

 One man is particularly happy that the new DTM season starts relatively late, 32 year old Audi factory driver Mattias Ekstrom who broke his left wrist in a sport accident in the middle of February and as a result began a race against time for the two time DTM Champion to be sitting at the wheel of his Audi A4 DTM when the season opens on May 1 at Hockenheim.
